DaVinci Sub Editor is a subtitle editing and proofreading tool for DaVinci Resolve. It lets you browse the full subtitle track in the active timeline, find subtitle lines by keyword, and batch find and replace repeated text across multiple clips.
Long-form interviews, multilingual subtitles, and specialist content often require careful text review. Even with Whisper-level ASR, terminology, names, brands, and place names may still need line-by-line checking. When the same term appears across several clips, manual edits are easy to miss, and repeatedly dragging the playhead through the timeline quickly becomes a time-consuming task.
What problem does it solve?
In a standard DaVinci Resolve editing workflow, searching and replacing text across a complete subtitle track is not convenient. DaVinci Sub Editor brings subtitle browsing, search, editing, and batch replacement into one focused workflow, so you can locate problems first and correct repeated text in one pass.
